Road Trippin’

Today is shaping up to be a good one.

My birthday isn’t until the 11th, but I figured after the past five or six weeks working on the Lunsford campaign, I deserved a treat. Behold my newest partner in crime….

That would be an Epiphone Hummingbird. Solid guitar, sounds beautiful. I’ll tell the full story of this guitar in my next post. This one has to be a quickie—I have to leave for Lexington in a bit to do a huge birthday shindig type weekend (which will also have its own post).

Today is my sister’s birthday. I bought her a book she wanted and a $25 gift certificate to her favorite restaurant. She nearly croaked. Life is good.

I’m happy the election is over, and I’m happy with the results. I think both candidates are good men, and bothy will work together to help us overcome our challenges in the months ahead. I’m also happy that I don’t have to work with the damn thing anymore—very stressful, and tempers can flare. I’m hoping we can all put our political differences behind us for a while, and help our leaders take steps in a new direction.

Now, what kind of cake to eat next week…
